Wenatchee River Rafting, Washington
Warm and dry weather of Eastern Washington, coupled with amazing volumes of whitewater make the Wenatchee River one of the hottest destinations for rafting. It is counted among the top ten rafting spots in the US. The reasons are obvious enough. Colossal waves and playful rapids under a warm sun are favorites for the experienced and the kids alike. Late May and early June witness a swell in the river making it exciting for veterans. From June to July, it is the season for families and people looking out for some laid-back fun.
The trips start from the Cascade Mountains along Bavarian villages in the perfect alpine surroundings with ponderosa pines and Douglas fir. The river strolls through the towns of Peshatin and Cashmere. These areas are covered with apple and pear orchards. The final stretches of the trip follow through desert landscapes. The scenery all along is awe-inspiring as nature has never been better before.
And all of this beauty won’t come alone. Wenatchee features boisterous Class III rapids to thrill you to the very core. Boulder Bend, Hobo Gulch, Rock ‘N’ Roll, Gorilla Falls, Snowblind and Drunkard’s Drop are the better known ones. As soon as you finish navigating through one, tranquil pools await downstream, giving you time to face another challenge!
In Wenatchee you never know what lies next. The valley is also prolific in its wildlife content. Ospreys, great blue herons, belted kingfishers, black bears and deer inhabit these mystifying lands and make your rafting experience a memorable one.
