Saane River Rafting
The Saane River is one of the biggest rivers in Switzerland and is also a famous tributary of the River Aare. It measures up to a length of 128 km. The river has its source in the Sanetschhorn, which is situated in the western region of Bernese Oberland.
The Saane River, moving further in its course, passes through several Swiss cantons and towns such as Canton of Bern and Canton of Vaud. As you flow through the Saane River on your rafting expedition, you can witness the enchanting view of several waterfalls, deafening you with their noise.
While on a rafting trip on the tempestuous Saane River, as you take that great leap waging into the waters, you can feel the excitement soaring up in your body. In the initial stages of its course, the waterway is rather a pleasantly gurgling stream; however as it proceeds further and passes the posh Gstaad resort, the Saane River transforms into a raging rivulet. Now, as the rafters travel along the Vanel and the Gérignoz Gorges, they are sure to observe the massive waves of the magnificent river.
The whitewaters will enthrall you to some great extent, as the high velocity waters pushes you back on your raft. As the water splashes your face and your boat strikes through the several boulders and cuts through the waves, you will feel your adrenalin level rising conspicuously. However, in the later part of the ride, you can see the river calming down and turning into a placid water body. While flowing through the whitewaters, the Swiss land will spectacle you with its rich natural and scenic beauty and stunning landscape. So, make that little leap and pack your baggage to set for your “wet mission” on the beautiful Saane River!
Do it, you will not regret it .
