Acharn Canyon
This is an advanced canyon located on the edge of Loch Tay about 20 minutes from Splash Rafting. We only take groups of 6-8 into this canyon and their are 2 guides to each group. We also only take groups into this canyon who can convince us they are up for it. Or groups who have been on a canyon trip with us before. As preparation for the awesome adventure we recommend doing our Keltyburn Canyon first.
Canyoning is a fast growing adrenaline adventure activity not just in Scotland but on a worldwide basis. Here in Scotland we have been canyoning since 2003 and have guides thousands of clients on their first canyoning experience. For a number of them they have been bitten with the canyoning bug. They have come back to do more challenging canyoning with us in Scotland, Spain, France and Morocco.
We provide all our clients with full wetsuits, helmets and buoyancy aids when we go canyoning. We also go through a comprehensive canyoning safety brief before entering the canyon.
Many of our clients combine our canyoning with white water rafting or one of our other adventure activities. We can design a full day of two Canyons or a full weekend of four canyons. Each year we also host a international canyoning adventure week in France or Spain. for those who cannot get enough of the canyoning fun and adventure.
Canyoning Awareness
For canyoning it is recommended that all clients can swim and also have a head for heights. We have different canyons and each demand a different level of client involvement and canyons such as Acharn do require a level of commitment and a steady head for heights so we know it is not for everyone. However canyons such as Keltyburn can provide everyone who can swim with a fantastic adventure day out full of adrenaline and fun
