Just wanted to send 'Splash' a big Thank You. We have just returned from Aberfeldy having had a great week and the two trips we had with 'Splash' were just fabulous. Our daughter Molly celebrated her 8th Birthday last weekend - just in time to join us for whitewater rafting down the Tay (16th August). She wasn't too impressed with the wetsuit and looked a little nervous - but your guy Matt made quite an impression, won her trust and soon had her standing on the side of the raft telling jokes, dangling back with her head in the water while he held her feet and launching herself into the river with abandon... So when my older daughter Hannah (12) wanted to join me for a spot of canyoning on Thursday morning we knew we were in good hands when our guides for the day turned out to be Matt (again) and Tom. They took great care of the whole group - had us flinging ourselves off scarily high places shooting down waterfalls and generally having a great time. Even after Hannah's shoe went shooting off down the gorge and she was left looking like a rather wet and bedraggled cinderella the lads came to her rescue and lent her one of theirs - definately over and above the call of duty! We had been trying to build in some mum/daughter bonding time for a while and that hit the spot even better than a day of retail therapy. Just a quick note as I wanted to say thank you to you and your colleagues for a superb weekend just gone. The lads taking the rafting were all good spirited and joined in with our banter, they knew their stuff and kept us all thoroughly entertained. I was also impressed with the amount of images on your website for us to download. The same can be said for the lads that took us for paintball, enthusiastic and kept our laughter rates high, but at the same time ensured our safety, and during 'hunt the stag' knew when I had taken enough and when to stop the game (thankfully). The transport you provided was flexible and prompt and your drivers (in particular Muzza on Saturday night) coped well with the incredible amount of inane noise we were able to make.

Were anyone to ask me, I could not recommend you highly enough.

The entire group loved the activities and had such a good time (even though the girls raft flipped on the big drop!)Thanks for all your help in organising it and answering my many queries. We thought she was a great instructor, very friendly as well as being firm with us! Hello there dudes came up for a stag do, Stewart Eckton`s (guy in green borat thong) Would just like to say even though I bottled the highest jump when cannyoning I had a extremely wicked time with you guys thank you. Now everytime I see a high bridge with water underneath I wanna get out and jump, theres a adrenaline junky just waiting to emerge. Off to Wales in summer for rafting cannyoning climbing abseiling and basically whatever them sheep lovers can throw at us. Question Will I bottle the highest jump again? Nah i`ll just wanna go higher ha ha ha Thanks again for the experience it`s really woke me up Paul Eckton (Green thongs brother) Ps you`l see some of us again i`m sure.

I'd just like to say thank you very much to everyone at the Splash Centre. We had a fantastic time, and would like it if you could pass on our thanks to Bruce and all the instructors that we had over the 2 days. We didn't really get a chance to say thanks to everyone at the time.

We're all sore and slightly bruised in some cases, but it was definitely worth it! I have a funny feeling that some of us will be coming back at some point in the future!

I can't say how much I enjoyed my day. Even if it was very cold.The guides were great and after a very cold rafting session the canyoning made the day.

I never thought I would jump off anything higher than the bottom stair but it was the best rush ever.

I think all my friends are board with me harping on about it but hey I need to bring then along and let them feel the rush for themselves. Iam alive and need to get fit following the loss of the use of my legs twice in the one day.

Thanks guys for a great day and all of HP (250 people good marketing!) will see what a blast it was thanks to the CD's.

I had my hen party in Aberfeldy on the weekend of the 18th and it was amazing!. Everyone was really helpful and the white water rafting was such a good laugh. In fact one of our party is thinking of taking it up full time beacuse her paddling strokes were so good!!!!
The instructors were great sports and put up with our over excitable behaviour with such good humour.

I would just like to thank you for a great day I had last Sunday. Whilst being a nervous wreck, the staff and guides were very quick to make me feel at ease. I must admit I wasn't too impressed with the games on the raft, i.e try to catch another person on the raft and push each other in. As i understand it is a great team building exercise, it was not what i was expecting. I really just wanted to get on with going through the rapids. It was fun, but just not what i had imagined. Maybe there is a trip which concentrates soley on going through rapids and not mucking about on the raft?? It certainly was an experience I will never forget and finally my feet have thawed and my muscles dont ache so much! Thanks again for the adventure.

A massive thank you for last weekend and completing the Tummel run last Sunday made the 1000 mile round trip worth it, even though Bruce and Sanu had to do a bit of scouting the route out first, I'm still buzzing.
Even though I
hate heights, "Canoying Kev" made canoying great fun and helped me over come alot of fears by getting in there first, top man !

Although getting completely soaked, it was the best " wet " fun out and especially Toby's rafting exercises, landing the whole crew landed in the Tay, fantastic. Couple this with the great Scottish Experiance, MAGIC !

Guys a few of our group had been rafting before overseas and they were to be honest not really looking forward to the rafting as they thought it was going to be a bit tame. Well the River Tummel was certainly not tame and even impressed the guys who had been to Nepal. The canyoning in the afternoon with Canyon Kev! was also a fantastic and had all of us twitching at the cliff jumps. The whole weekend from transport to Edinburgh accommodation was sweet and next time we are going to stay up with you guys.

I just wanted to write to you to say a massive thanks for having us up last week. Sorry it has taken me so long to write this email but I have been totally snowed under since I returned. I think choosing to come up for the 2 days at the start of our busiest week was an error on my behalf but I would do it again in a flash. I have to say that the hospitality was brilliant and your instructors were first class! Massive thanks to Bruce, Toby and Dave who were with us for most of our activities and made them really enjoyable. You can tell Bruce that Nicky is about to start counselling for her 2 traumatic experiences in the raft (although we all found it quite funny!!) and that she said the bill would be addressed to him personally (only joking).

Not sure where to start, what another fabulous itinerary you put together for us,starting with whitewater rafting then kayaking through the rapids, excellent fun and the finale the river bugging event the BLESMA Assistant General Secretary took part, mind you I told him we were going quad biking! What a fabulous time was had by one and all. Not all of the team had done rafting or funyaks before and certainly none had river buged and I can assure you that it was the talk of the week. Don't know how I can thank you enough, nor your team for their instruction, good humour, encouragement and temperament, they are an asset to you and your company.

As I explained , we at BLESMA , rely entirely on the generosity of the private sector as we receive no government funding and every bit helps especially with regards to rehabilitation.

As I am sure you realised by the big smiley faces, that all the activities were a great success and very challenging to all of our party, be they either arm , leg amputee's and especially the double leg amputee's. All that was achieved during our week at Crieff surpassed my wildest dreams, the camaraderie, good humour, the willingness to succeed and most importantly the team spirit were there for all to see, and you and your team helped us in achieving this aim, than you.

Pete, Just a quick not to say a very big thank you to you and your team for last Sunday's rafts. I know the feed back from those who took part was that they really enjoyed themselves, with comments like "I did not know what to expect, having done it once, will do it again". One of the staff on the Victoria's boat was saying he wants to do it again with his wife next time as she would enjoy it. The two boats that we were able to fill raised £480 towards the Pitlochry autumn Festival funds - which is really appreciated. I just wanted to write and thank you for a fantastic experience whitewater rafting on the River Tummel on Saturday 21st June. It was for my friend's hen weekend and, as one of the bridesmaids, it was very important that she, and all the group, had a good time. Well, everyone really enjoyed it and we talked about the rafting trip (and had many laughs at the pictures) over cocktails until 7.30am on the Sunday morning!!! Just some feedback to say we thought your staff were excellent and made the day fun and interesting. Particular praise to Craig who took our boat and had to keep us entertained while the others caught up.

What was most commendable was that the instructors all had a natural gift and chatted to every group of customers, regardless of whether they were "theirs" (rather than huddle with their pals until it was time to herd "punters" out - which is often the attitude). Also they were genuinely interested in people and not in the least bit jaded.

Having been lead horse and taken rides out of mixed abilities I know how hard it is to make sure a mixed groups is entertained the with the experienced ones not getting too cocky and the beginners being drawn out of their comfort zone at a pace they can cope with. The hardest thing was to retain a freshness when taking out yet another group, same scenarios but different faces. Yet your instructors seemed to have a genuine enthusiasm for the job, and the customers.

The girls will just laugh at the photos anyway as it'll show me clinging on like a cat; I don't swim well, but love the water (being on it rather than in it) life is for living, and all that! Anyway they would never tackle riding my thoroughbreds, so guess we all have our comfort zones.

Anyway congrats to Craig, and the Spash team seems like a well run outfit with staff who clearly love their jobs. By the way, tell Craig that we don't have shopping trollies in all of the Borders rivers! It's a beautiful place here!

We'll be back later in the year and have given some of my work colleagues your leaflets so you may have a bit of a Borders flurry.

I was part of a rafting group on Saturday and it was led by a guide called John. I just wanted to say thank you for making rafing and the morning great fun - even if I was a complete liability which I think was half the entertainment!!!

I think I would even go as far to say I have caught the rafting and adventure bug so heaven help him!!! However I can say I have learned how to put on a wet suit the correct way now.

I was part of the group from the Danish company Eniro, that went water rafting on saturday the 4. of October.

We had a splendid time, with lots of laughs, cold dives in the river and the cutest instructor.. who tried to cover his lovely face behind a lot of hair, but not succeding doing that very well.. lol.. I didn´t get his name, but I´ve been trying to sort out what it is looking at your homepage and I think its Toby.. I inserted a photo so you can tell if I´m right.. by the way its me in front to the right looking very cold and wet..lol..
well we were, but we had so much fun that we didn´t feel it.. smiling..

If this is Toby and his second name is Saxton, would you please then send him many regards and tell him that I´ve been writing to him on facebook?.. I mean with his life in the wild there might not be a lot of time spent infront of a pc.. So maybe he won´t read it for another half a year.. lol.. And if its not Toby, could you then please tell me his name as he made quite an impression on me..

All of us really enjoyed the activities and everyone was really friendly, fun, laid back but also very professional. We really appreciated the time you took after the activities to explain about other attractions on offer and are very excited by the Morocco trip. I have searched your site but cannot find specific details on that one. (The short Thursday to Monday stint). If you could forward me the dates of the Morroco White Water Rafting trips in March/April '09 it would be greatly appreciated. All the best and thanks again Colin

As you will understand since the group came from the wild countryside of Denmark where the highest hill is 290 metres they had never had the opportunity to do anything like this before. I will certainly have no hesitation in booking your company again or recommending your services to anyone else. Once again I put pen to paper to thank you for all that you have done in providing activities for our membership , young and old.

As we have discussed on numerous occassions, the prior excitement/trepidation and then teh sense of achievement by all who have been on the water with Splash , is a heart-warming site to see. One that they will talk about for a long time to come and hopefully pass on to other members who can come and sample the excitement of white water rafting, river bugging, duckies/kayaks and who knows maybe even canyoning next year.

Your staff were as, as always, very professional, cheerful and could not do enough to ensure that all the activities we tried, were achievable by the most sevely disabled and went of without injury.

I know that we were all amazed at what was achieved throughout the week, especially with Splash. You may not be aware but a 75 year old completed the River Bugging and I doubt that his smile has diminished ye! We also had a 79 year old dop the white water rafting and he loved it, I had to talk to his grand daughter, as she didn't believe he'd done it.

I hope you enjoyed your curry as we enjoyed your company.

Finally I thank you most sincerely for your very kind hearted gesture for the use of your facilities, time, and equipment, it is greatly enjoyed by those who take part and much appreciated by all at BLESMA.

Hi Peter,

Were do we start. It was awesome a great action packed weekend, just a shame non of us went swimming, however guess the water was scary so not a one to recommned coming out the boat. Would have loved to have tried one of the rapids we missed out on, however appreciate the levels and currents were strong. All in all a great weekend and if you have any other trips / offers in the pipeline we would be open to suggestions.
