White Water Rafting Rivers of the World - Wales

River Dee, Wales White Water Rafting

A prominent river in North Wales, River Dee runs up to 70 miles traveling through England and Wales touching the borders of both the places. Originated from Snowdonia in Wales, the water body runs towards the north through Chester in England. It finally drains into the sea, actually into an estuary, which falls between The Wirral Peninsula and Wales.

The River Dee happens to be a popular whitewater canoeing and kayaking river, with rapids of Class III and IV rampant along its course, especially in the upstream. With a variety of rapids in its course, the river is suitable for both children and beginners as well as for those fond of facing challenges. As you navigate the river and reach the tumultuous sections of the waves, the ferocity of the water will scare you and make you scream and finally, make your heart pounding rapidly. Once into the waters, the raft will steer through the fast flowing waves, splash all the way through shallows and deep pools and crash over the rocks. Passing through numerous obstacles, you can even encounter some calmer areas in certain parts too.

As the river moves passing several bridges at Llanderfel, Cynwyd, Carrog and Corwen and flows about 19 miles downstream, a rafter is sure to enjoy the stunning scenic beauty of this region. Since, Wales is the perfect place for enjoying adventure activities, it’s extremely exciting to paddle your own canoe and lose yourself totally in the rushing and foaming white water. So, get set and pack your bags to go on a holiday trip and make sure to experience an exhilarating rafting escapade!
