Colca River, Peru

The Colca River in southern Peru travels along the deep rugged terrains of the Andes. Hidden deep in one of the world’s deepest canyons, the Colca Canyon, the river is indeed a gem of Southern Peru. Originating in the wind-swept hills of Condorama Crucero Alto, the river travels downstream along the course, touring over several hundred kilometers.

Thundering all the way through the canyon, the river drops from an astounding height of 10, 725ft! Almost twice deeper than the Grand Canyon, the mountain ranges act as walls on the riverside, continuing through seven miles and forming a gorge. The Colca River moves through deep canyons, cascading along the breathtaking natural surroundings. Recognized as one of the most spectacular rivers in the world, the Colca River is studded with the most amazing adventures a rafter can crave for!

It is popularly claimed that the depth of the Colca River is quite evident, as the water body turns out to be inaccessible in some places.
