Rafting In Sibera
The tour Chuya - Katun is for those who want sharper sensations from rafting.
This route is rather serious in the technical plan, but is still accessible for the people without special preparation. In this route you will pass by rafts on two most known rivers of Altai - Chuya with technically complex rapids and Katun with large water, powerful stream and high waves. But irrespective of character of both rivers, they give unforgettable impressions of untouched nature of Altai.
The program of tour:
Day 1 Arrival to Barnaul. Trip by bus to Chibit. 12 hours trip with a stop for dinner. The night on a coast of the river Chuya.
Day 2 Rafting on the river Chuya up to the rapid "Begemot" (the rapid of 3-4 classes)
Day 3 The Rapid "Begemot" (for wishers)(5 class). Continuation of rafting and passage of rapids "Classical" and "Slalom" (4 classes)
Day 4 Rafting up to a rapid "Turbine".
Day 5 Passage of the rapids of 4-5 classes "Turbine", "Horizon". Then shoal. The tent camp in a place of merge of Chuya and Katun.
Day 6 Rafting on Katun up to a rapid "Shabash" with passage of the rapid "Ilgumenskiy".
Day 7 Passage of the rapid "Shabash" (4 class). Rafting up to a mouth of the river Kayancha (3-4 classes). Survey of pertroglyphs. (Ancient pictures on the rocks)
Day 8 Rafting up to a mouth of the river Kuys. (rapids of 3-4 classes)
Day 9 Returning to Barnaul.
